COMMUNICATION, Unit Std: 8647, NQF LEVEL 5, 10 CREDITS: 3 DAYS
Communication is the art of understanding what is being said and in turn responding. As much as this seems simple, a number of employees have difficulty in both oral and written communication. This skill is required in the day-to-day interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
Communication training will be delivered via Facilitation, Role-plays and Discussions. Benefits of this program are that employees will have improved communication skills.
The following topics will be covered:
Interpret and respond to accessible written communications in the workplace
- A normal office memorandum.
Produce simple written communication in the workplace
- A report on work done, accidents in the workplace, respond to requests and complaints.
Produce and respond to accessible oral communication in the workplace
- Offer a five-minute presentation
- Listen to and summarise a ten-minute presentation.
